Water Leak Detection System Maintenance in Saudi Arabia(Riyadh, Jeddah & Dammam)
A small leak under a raised floor can take down a server room. We install, test and maintain water leak detection systems — sensing cable, controllers and alarm interfaces — so leaks are caught early.
What's included
- Sensing cable and spot sensor testing
- Controller and zone mapping checks
- Alarm and BMS interface testing
- Cable repair and extension
- Reports and fault logs
Why leak detection systems stop protecting you
Leak detection cable lies under raised floors and around plant for years without anyone looking at it. Dust, dirt, cleaning chemicals and dried residue can cause false alarms or mask a real leak, while floor tiles lifted for cabling works often leave cable unclipped, kinked or disconnected. In Jeddah and Dammam, high outdoor humidity adds condensate risk from CRAC units, chilled water pipes and drain trays.
Our leak detection maintenance routine
- Controller health check, event log review and battery / power supply test
- Cable route walk-down against the zone or location map
- Wet test at set points along the sensing cable and at every spot sensor
- Location accuracy checked on distance-read (locating) systems
- Cable cleaned or replaced where contaminated, damaged or showing leakage current
- Clips, leader cables, connectors and end terminators checked
- Alarm relays, BMS / DCIM points and any automatic valve shut-off tested end to end
- Updated cable map and a written report with faults and recommendations
Leak detection systems we look after
We maintain the leak detection systems commonly installed in Saudi data centres, server rooms and plant rooms — such as TraceTek (nVent) and RLE Technologies — including zone controllers, distance-read locating panels, sensing cable and spot sensors.
After floor works, test again
Any work under a raised floor — new cabling, CRAC replacement or pipe changes — can move or damage the sensing cable. We recommend a quick route check and wet test whenever raised-floor works finish, so the map and the alarms still match the real layout.
Sectors we serve
We serve clients all over Saudi Arabia — mainly Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam — from our head office in Riyadh.
Frequently asked questions
Where should leak detection be installed?
Under raised floors, around CRAC/CRAH units, near pipework and in plant rooms — anywhere water could damage critical equipment.
What is the difference between zone and locating leak detection?
A zone system tells you that water has been found somewhere along a length of cable. A locating (distance-read) system also tells you how far along the cable the leak is, so the technician can go straight to it on a large raised floor.
Does wet-testing damage the sensing cable?
No. Most sensing cables are designed to be wet-tested with clean water and then dried. We follow the manufacturer's procedure and confirm the alarm clears once the cable is dry.
Why does our leak detection give false alarms?
The usual causes are contaminated cable, condensation, cleaning fluids, physical damage or a loose connection. We trace the alarm to the exact point, then clean, re-route or replace that section.
Can leak detection shut off the water automatically?
Yes. Most controllers have relay outputs that can close a motorised valve or send an alarm to the BMS. We test that link as part of every service.
Do you offer an annual maintenance contract (AMC) for Leak Detection Systems?
Yes. Leak Detection Systems can be covered under a Star House AMC on its own or together with your other building systems in one single contract.
Which areas do you cover?
We serve clients all over Saudi Arabia — mainly Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam — from our head office in Riyadh.
