Critical Alarm System Maintenance in Saudi Arabia(Riyadh, Jeddah & Dammam)

Critical alarms warn you about power, temperature, water and equipment faults before they become outages. We maintain alarm panels, sensors and notification paths and make sure every alarm reaches the right person.

Critical Alarm Systems

What's included

  • Alarm panel and sensor testing
  • Temperature, humidity and power monitoring checks
  • Notification and escalation testing
  • Integration checks with BMS
  • Alarm response support

When alarms exist but nobody gets them

Most outages in server rooms and plant rooms were signalled before they happened — a UPS on battery, a cooling unit tripping, a temperature climbing overnight. The problem is usually the path, not the sensor: an expired SIM card, a changed email address, a phone number for someone who left, or an alarm that was muted months ago. Regular end-to-end testing is the only way to know the warning will reach a person who can act.

What our critical alarm maintenance covers

  • Inventory of every monitored point: UPS, generator, ATS, cooling, temperature, humidity, leak, fire panel and door
  • Monitoring unit / DCIM health check, firmware and network connectivity
  • Temperature and humidity sensors checked against a reference instrument
  • Dry contacts, SNMP and Modbus points proven by simulating each alarm
  • Thresholds and delays reviewed — e.g. against the ASHRAE recommended range of 18–27 °C at server inlets
  • SMS, email and call notifications tested end to end to each named person
  • Escalation steps and contact lists updated with the client
  • Report listing every point tested, results and gaps found

Monitoring systems we look after

We maintain the environmental and critical monitoring systems commonly installed in Saudi server rooms and plant rooms — such as Schneider Electric NetBotz, Vertiv monitoring units, AKCP and RLE Technologies — as well as alarms that report through a BMS or a DCIM platform.

Alarms that fit the Saudi climate

Summer outdoor temperatures put cooling plant under the most strain exactly when a failure is most dangerous. We set temperature alarms with enough early warning to act before equipment shuts down, add rate-of-rise alerts where the platform supports them, and make sure generator and UPS alarms are covered during the long summer peak.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a critical alarm?

Any alarm that signals a risk to uptime or safety — UPS on battery, high temperature, water leak, generator fault or fire system trouble.

How often should critical alarms be tested?

We recommend testing every notification path at least quarterly, and immediately after any change of staff, phone numbers, network or monitoring software.

Can you connect our existing UPS and generator to one alarm system?

In most cases, yes. Modern UPS and generator controllers offer dry contacts, SNMP or Modbus, which can be brought into one monitoring unit, BMS or DCIM so alarms arrive in one place.

Who should receive critical alarms?

At least two people for every alarm, with an escalation step if nobody acknowledges it. We help you build a simple escalation list and test it, so a single missed phone call does not become an outage.

Do you offer an annual maintenance contract (AMC) for Critical Alarm Systems?

Yes. Critical Alarm Systems can be covered under a Star House AMC on its own or together with your other building systems in one single contract.

Which areas do you cover?

We serve clients all over Saudi Arabia — mainly Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam — from our head office in Riyadh.
